wouldn’t that leave splashes of liquid under the seat? cleanign the cover and seat last would remove what is splashed from the bowl.

But where this person went wrong is she didn’t wash out the cloth before doing that

the most horrible story I had heard about hotel service was came from a holiday in Egypt… the maid clean the bathroom, the ashtray of the living room and the dust with only one clout :S

You should never clean the inside of the toilet then the seat, then the cover. Always do the cover, then the seat, then the inner ring otherwise you’re moving the nastiness up to the part of the toilet people actually sit on.

the way they taught me, you’re supposed to open windows first, retire all the bed clothing, get the garbage out and clean the room and bathroom. Then you close all windows and then you can start rearranging things, organising stuff, making the bed and last cleaning details (such as polishing bronze objects or furniture polishing, getting stains off from any mirrors, vaccuum cleaning, etc).
Bed clothing might get ruined by some cleaning products or stained, that’s why you leave it for later.

Not often you get a behind the scenes look at how the bedrooms and bathrooms are prepared – very good.
